Obliques comes in two versions as two player and four player board game. Two player version is more popular as it is direct tussle between both the players. On other hand in four player version, different players can alliances in order to score with majority. There, the alliances can break or restructured as the game progresses.
Two player version finishes in near half an hour while four player game lasts for several hours.

Alternate Turns
Players have to put the obliques on the grid one by one.
Completion of Grid
Game finishes upon filling the entire grid with obliques.
Scores for Shapes
Upon appearance of a square or rectangle, points are scored.
Majority Rules
The score is delivered to the player having majority in the shape.
Larger Shape, High Score
Larger shape yields higher scores.
